Hello to all, I'm just reading a few things about tantra on the web. I've gone to one teacher to start my journey. Does anyone have any recommendations on learning this path? I'm currently working on this solo. I'm trying to make new and renew good connections in my life as well.

Re: Recommendations?
Wed, September 26, 2007 - 11:43 PMPat, it's not "a path," it's numerous paths that share the same name although they may have a wide variety of beliefs and methods.
Which version are you currently studying? There are people here who will recommend many books, teachers, and directions, and they may not be the same as the path you are on.

Re: Recommendations?
Thu, September 27, 2007 - 10:10 AMPat, it says that you live in the East Bay.
Jan Robinson has classes in Berkeley. She teaches Ipsalu tantra.

She started this Tribe and passed it on to me.
I started taking classes with her three years ago.
I also like Steve and Lokita Carter who teach Margo Anand's SkyDancing Tantra.

Re: Recommendations?
Sat, January 5, 2008 - 9:23 PMWhen the student is ready, the Teacher will arrive... always happens... be prepared for the Teacher to manifest in forms other than what you are looking for or are used to...
It may not be a Tantra course organizer... an uber guru with a turban and an invoice... or any of the common stereotypical "guru" forms you are used to...
It may be the janitor in your building... a street vendor hawking his/her wares... or a barista at a Starbucks who reveals pearls of wisdom and opens up a path for you...
Are you ready for the wisdom that will come from various quarters... or do you look for the uber guru...
